I have always loved prescribing liquid herbal medicine. I still remember back in uni during our herbal medicine classes, that I adored learning about herbs and their unique healing properties. I had the amazing opportunity to visit the manufacturing plant where the liquid extracts I use are created. It was seriously like walking into the Willy Wonka of herbal medicine manufacturing! The air is permeated with the scent of potent herbs, the people who work there are so passionate about what they do, and the amount of rigorous testing conducted from the moment the herb arrives is truly amazing.
Absorption is Amazing
As I mentioned above, you can sometimes feel liquid herbs begin to work as soon as you ingest them. As soon as they touch your mucous membranes (such as your mouth, stomach and small intestine), they begin to be absorbed. Even those with a sluggish digestion can experience the full benefit of liquid herbs. Herbal extracts are primarily created with alcohol as the solvent (an amazing substance for extracting the active constituents of plants which also preserves the herbal extracts).
A Perfect Example of Plant Alchemy
